Starting Salary: $62,764

Position Overview:

The Case Aide - After Hours will be on-call after regular work hours (4:30 pm - 8:30 am weekdays and 24 hrs on weekends and holidays) to respond to emergency after hours services.  On-call shift rotation will be 4 on/4 off.

The Case Aide After Hours is to assist workers in the area of service delivery with any tasks that may be required.  Services are consistent with the Child and Family Services Act and Tikinagan's philosophy and statement of principles.  The coordination of the On-Call Case Aide Worker will be the responsibility of the Direct Services Supervisor.

Qualifications Desired:

  • Interest in working with children, and youth. Experience with raising a family, working with children, or being part of a community life in small remote communities.

  • Knowledge of and lived experience with the Indigenous culture.
  • Good verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to speak Indigenous language is an asset.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Valid driver’s license or willingness to obtain driver’s licence.
  • Computer experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Travel is a requirement.
  • No remote work available.
  • No relocation assistance available.
