Position Overview:

The Kitchen Coordinator will be employed by the Treatment Centre to ensure the effective overall management of all food-related services.  The Kitchen Coordinator will be involved in all aspects of food purchasing, menu planning, meal preparation and kitchen management.  In addition, the Kitchen Coordinator will be responsible for providing some instruction in the areas of food preparation and nutrition.  

Qualifications Desired:

  • Personal emotional stability and a good character
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Ojibway/Cree is preferred.
  • Basic mathematical and managerial skills in areas of purchasing and ordering of goods.
  • Previous experience in cooking, nutrition, menu planning and the organization of food.
  • Previous experience in working with children and the ability to provide basic instruction.
  • Commitment to long-term, stable employment.  
  • Must provide a Criminal Record Check prior to employment.
