Position Overview:

The Group Home/Healing Centre is a residential setting for boys and girls who have been experiencing difficulties with life at home and are in need of care and structured living which the group home/healing Centre is able to provide. The In- House Counsellor is to provide the support and care of these clients as well as their safety, health and overall well-being. It is the In-House counselor responsibility to promote the best interest of the youth and to provide stability by providing individual counselling and to provide group sessions with each client.

Qualifications Desired:

  • Practical experience in the field of Child Care work
  • Academic training in the field of child care or related areas.
  • Consistency in management of the clientele and their daily activities
  • Be able to participate in training and job skill development
  • Commitment to participate in training and development
  • Fluency in Ojibway or Oji-Cree preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must have a valid driver's license or willingness to obtain one.
  • Travel is requirement.

  • No relocation assistance available.
